So you're probably here because you have questions about Invisalign and the Invisalign process.
One of the biggest questions people have is, “Do Invisalign trays hurt?” The truth is, you might feel a mild pressure, but I’ve never had a patient complain about real discomfort. Compared to braces, the movement is gradual and much gentler, which is exactly what to expect with Invisalign.
The number 2 question I get is, "Does it stain my teeth?" With braces you have the brackets and the wire and behind the brackets you'll get plaque that accumulates and that's what typically stains the teeth. With clear aligners, we don't have that material that traps plaque on the tooth's surface, so we don't see staining with our patients.
"Is it as fast as braces? Is it quicker than braces?" The answer really depends on the case. On average, Invisalign treatment wraps up in about 8–10 months, though some finish as quickly as 5 months, while others may take 18 months to 2 years. Curious about timelines?
